I have a Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences and a Master degree in Biology from the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy). For my Master thesis, I spent one year at the University of Copenhagen, involved in a project aiming to describe the genome-wide differential activation of regulatory elements activity, upon alteration of D. melanogaster development. When back to Milan, I had a brief experience working on a project about genetic and oxidative stress in species inhabiting fragmented habitats. Afterwards, I joined Waterhouse group to combine my interest in genomics, development and biodiversity, exploring the genomic basis of moulting mechanisms that led to arthropod great diversity.
