I am interested in deciphering the molecular bases of adaptation and complex phenotypical traits. For that I use various approaches such as genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics as well as functional analyses.
During my PhD, I studied the evolution and function of aphid salivary genes in the context of aphids' adaptation to their host plants.
During my first postdoc I worked on the adaptation of parasitic wasps to the defensive bacterial symbionts carried by their aphid hosts.
I am now focusing on understanding complex phenotypes and I more particularly study on the origin, evolution and function of the supergene controlling social organization in the Alpine silver ant Formica selysi.
