Presentation

Currently, Christelle Cocco, is senior SNSF researcher at the ISSR for the project: “Drawings of gods: A Multicultural and Interdisciplinary Approach of Children’s Representations of Supernatural Agents”. She is particularly interested in the automatic analysis of the project data (available on ddd.unil.ch), applying image processing and computer vision methods on the drawings, as well as natural language processing and computational linguistics methods on the children’s descriptions.

Holding a PhD in Arts, in the field of computer science and mathematical methods (UNIL); her thesis: « Typologies textuelles et partitions musicales : dissimilarités, classification et autocorrélation » (2014) focuses on correspondence analysis, clustering and classification, applied on textual and musical data. She also worked as civil engineer after her master in civil engineering (EPFL, 2008).
