• Participate in a conversation or discussion on a variety of current personal or professional situations
• Follow a discussion or a presentation concerning a familiar work context or area of study as long as the language used is clear and in a standard dialect
• Read a text of general interest or from a familiar professional or academic field
• Write a coherent and well-structured simple message, in either formal or informal register
• Deal with basic intercultural differences
• Make use of independent learning strategies
