InterACTING : English through drama and acting (from B1)
Learning outcomes
- Interact in English with ease, developing a relationship based on trust on a physical, emotional and psychological level, through fun and laughter
- Understand the plot of a play and recognize the main episodes and events
- Act and/or improvise in a scene/a sketch
- Creatively co-write a short play, using appropriate vocabulary and correct grammatical structures
- Interprets texts verbally, using adequate pronunciation, stress patterns, intonation and rhythm, and non-verbally through gestures
- Deal with basic intercultural differences through collaboration
- Apply original and holistic learning strategies; reflect on the learning and creative proces
Methods
- A benevolent, dynamic and collaborative environment in which the participants can build confidence and complete a project
- Body and vocal warm-ups
- Games to develop concentration, trust, improvisation and creative (co)writing
- Texts, plays, scenes, sketches, poems of an appropriate level
- Support and model for example with diction, pronunciation, stage presence and expression
