Learning outcomes

  • Participate effectively and appropriately in an academic discussion by checking understanding, putting forward a personal view, asking for help and giving advice
  • Give a clearly structured seminar presentation in one's academic field
  • Use strategies to identify the topic of a lectures or seminar presentation, and extract detailed information from it
  • Use reading strategies to find key information and concepts in scientific texts
  • Write an academic text (e.g laboratory report, process) using suitable conventions
