Libraries on campus
Libraries are essential for your studies and both goldmines of information and peaceful places to work.
The Dorigny campus is home to two Cantonal and University Library (BCUL) sites: the famous “Banana” (a general library in the Unithèque building) and another in the Internef building, specialising in law and economics.
A third site on the Hospital campus is for medical students: the Lausanne University Medical Library (BiUM-CHUV).
The following specialised collections are part of Lausanne's university libraries, all of which are accessible to the public (NOTE: only the BIHM CHUV-UNIL offers work places):

Library of Earth Sciences (iSTE)
Specialisations: geology, palaeontology, mineralogy, geochemistry, geophysics, soil science, biogeosciences and botany

Specialisations: public health and occupational health
