During the summer break the University of Lausanne’s Cours de vacances school offers intensive French courses for all levels of non-French speakers and a French Level Certification.
Students can choose an Intensive course (all day) or a Semi-intensive course (only in the morning). Future UNIL students can also choose to take an Introduction to academic texts course (from level A2 acquired). The level of the student is assessed by the assessment test of the Cours de vacances that is taken online a few days before the first day of the courses.
The Cours de vacances also offers to sit the Certificate of Qualification in French (CQF) exams which certify the student’s level according to the CEFR. The B1/B2, B2/C1 and C1/C2 CQF exempts students already enrolled in UNIL of the French admissions test.
The intensive course prepares students for the CQF exams and also awards ECTS credits.
