Lausanne is a metropolitan city in the heart of Europe and home to a population of 345,000 inhabitants. Lausanne is home not only to lots of museums of its own, but also nearly 20 cantonal and private museums. Ranging from the Olympic Museum to the Collection de l’Art Brut, museums in Lausanne are rich in history and their exhibitions, which leave a lasting impression on visitors, are widely known. Don’t miss Plateforme 10, a new complex located right next to the railway station hosting the Vaud Museum of Fine Arts.
