The actions undertaken by the UNIL Rectorate aim to excel in the collective accomplishment of its basic missions of teaching and research in a local, regional, national and international context.
In order to fulfil its public service missions, the Directorate sets out its strategy every five years, in a forward plan detailing its objectives, produced in conjunction with the faculties, departments and the UNIL Council – the representative body for the whole university community – to which the document is submitted before being sent to the Policy Authority, which uses it as the basis for the UNIL Strategic Plan, currently covering 2021-2026.
