On these pages, you'll find general information on Swiss law on foreign nationals for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers who are EU/EFTA nationals or third-country nationals wishing to work in Switzerland after a doctorate or a postdoc contract.

Individual Consultation

You can ask for an individual consultation with Fiorella Fernandez Deshogues in order to have an initial legal opinion, without prior examination of your dossier. This initial consultation will be reimbursed by the UNIL Graduate Campus under certain conditions. Please see here for further information.

United Kingdom

Since 1st January 2021, the United Kingdom is no longer part of the European Union.

The Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons (AFMP) within the EU, to which Switzerland is a party, therefore no longer applies to British nationals applying for a residence permit.
