College of Science

The College of Science is a unit of the University of Lausanne, created in 2003. It acts as a link between EPFL, HEP Vaud and UNIL around the teaching of chemistry, physics, mathematics and other subjects.


 

Overview

The responsibilities of the College of Science are as follows: 

  • Coordinate teaching in the basic sciences (maths, physics and chemistry) delivered to UNIL students by EPFL.
  • Collaborate with the (Sciences)2 teaching programme, made up of modules in natural sciences, life sciences and basic sciences, taught partly by EPFL lecturers and aimed at UNIL students.
  • Supervise teaching in the sciences for students at HEP Vaud teacher training college.

Creation and maintenance of the "Binômes" database to initiate and encourage exchanges between scientists with an interest in interdisciplinarity.
