Are you in charge of a publication requiring the UNIL logo? Are you a graphic designer or printing specialist? This page is for you.
To simplify the process and guarantee consistent quality, all our logos are available in Adobe Illustrator PDF or Adobe Illustrator EPS vector format, which can be exported in various formats (JPEG, TIFF, PNG) from image editing tools.
The logo of the University of Lausanne - both in its generic form and in combination with the name of a UNIL unit - is protected. It may only be applied to a document for public use or decision-making (paper or electronic) by a person who has a contractual relationship with the University of Lausanne (UNIL). This is in the context of a professional activity that is part of the person's mission within the institution or in the context of a formal mandate from the latter.
In order for the logo of the University of Lausanne to be applied in the context of a partnership with another organisation, the participation of UNIL must be validated by a competent unit of the latter: the individual participation of members of the UNIL community does not in itself authorise the application of the logo.
Any private use of the logo is strictly prohibited. The Rectorate of the University of Lausanne may take legal action in the event of unlawful use of the logo.
If in doubt, or for any use other than those mentioned above, please contact the person in charge, Edy Ceppi.
Any person regularly enrolled in a course or programme of study provided by UNIL may use the institution's logo, or its derivation from a unit of the University, on works (for example: dissertation, internship report, master's thesis, doctoral dissertation, etc.).) that they are required to produce as part of their teaching or research work.
This folder contains all the UNIL logos (white, black, blue).
Our signature "le savoir vivant" asserts that knowledge is never static; on the contrary, it acts like matter in perpetual motion. Knowledge is constantly being challenged by the teachers and researchers working in our institution. Knowledge is a journey that has a beginning but never an end!
The "le savoir vivant" element appears on our publications. However, it is not a logo and should not be used as such.
