  • 13 June 2022 - Diverted lives: the impact of implicit biases on equality and life courses

Implicit biases are unconscious expectations or stereotypes that affect our perception, judgement and behaviour. Among other things, they can lead to inequality and discrimination, and/or influence the life course of those who are subject to them. What is the real impact of these implicit biases on life trajectories and inequalities? What role do they play in the occurrence of different forms of discrimination? How can we spot them in our everyday lives and limit their effects?

On the eve of 14 June, the national day of action for equality, the UNIL Equality Office and the LIVES Centre - the Swiss Centre of Competence in Life-Course and Vulnerability Research - invite you to think critically and playfully about these important issues from the point of view of equality and respect for diversity.
