This form is only useful for sending a paper passport photo. It is possible to send us a digital photo, see below for details.
Obtaining a campus card for guests and external speakers is governed by paragraph 2 of the campus card award directive. We invite you to read the criteria for obtaining a campus card. If you meet the conditions, submit your request for an invitation to your dean's office.
Important: the paper form has been replaced by an online form. When you request guest status from your deanery secretariat, you will receive an e-mail with a link to it. If you are a guest and need help accessing the application on the administrative intranet, please consult section VI below.
You must provide us with a photograph for your campus card. This photograph may also be used on your faculty website or with one of your publications. We therefore advise you not to neglect the photograph you send us, taking care to ensure its quality, framing, exposure and presentation.
From a technical point of view, if you send us a photograph electronically, please rename the file (e.g. ‘firstname_name.jpg’). If you scan your image, please ensure that the file format is JPEG and not PDF, and that the scan is of the best possible quality.
The technical requirements are as follows:
Your photograph can be sent to us at campuscard@unil.ch
For authorised persons, the campus card allows access to the buildings outside official opening hours and to certain premises (offices, computer rooms, laboratories). If you are eligible, you can download the application form below and return it to us at the address given:
Important: the paper form is no longer available for this type of request. Please contact the secretary's office of your institute or your deacon's office to obtain the necessary access, or to request a copy of the form from UNISEP.
This document presents how access control to the premises is managed. You may also refer to section ‘III. Access to premises and management of access rights’, below.
If you lose or have a problem with your campus card, you can fill in the form below. However, please consult the sections ‘My campus card has been stolen or lost, what should I do?’ and ‘My campus card is not working, what should I check?’ below. You may find an answer to your problem.

If you are a student: you will receive your campus card before the start of the semester at your postal address following your enrollment at UNIL. If you haven’t received your campus card or any other related document (e.g. IT access), please contact the Admissions office to check your status.
If you are a staff member or teacher: with your contract, you received a campus card request form to return to us. If not, or if you’ve lost it, you can download it from the documents section below.
If you are a guest or external speaker: the campus card is not automatically sent. If your activity at UNIL lasts at least three months, you can request a campus card.
Further details on obtaining the campus card and the application process are available on this page.
Start by checking the status of your campus card on your MyUNIL page. Click on the profile image at the top left, then select "my campuscard". In the box on the left, you can check the status of your campus card:
If the card shows "Active" but does not work for a specific function, please refer to the help available on that page for the relevant function. If no feature of your campus card works, please contact us and provide the ID of your campus card.
If your campus card has been swallowed by a terminal, it will be retrieved by one of our staff members. You will receive an email when you can collect it from our desk at Amphimax. Once retrieved, check its status on your MyUNIL page by clicking on your profile icon at the top left, then selecting "My campuscard". If necessary, you will need to validate or unblock it before using its functions again.
If after 48 hours you haven't received an email about your campus card, contact us.
If during this time you need to prove your student status (e.g., for an exam), you can print your enrollment certificate from MyUNIL by clicking on your profile icon, then selecting "My profile". You'll find your certificate at the bottom of the box on the left. You can print it and present it along with an ID.
If your status at UNIL changes, keep your campus card. Once your status has been updated in the system (which you can check in MyUNIL under the "My campuscard" menu by clicking on your profile icon at the top left), you can go to a validation terminal to update the rewritable data zone.
If you are a student and cannot validate your campus card (data not updated, "pre-registered" status, or if the terminal shows "Unknown card"), validation is only possible after the payment of your semester fee. A processing time of one week is required for your payment.
Please also check that your campus card is not blocked, and unblock it if necessary.
You can check the update of your data anytime on your MyUNIL page by clicking on your profile icon, then selecting "My campus card".
You can find information on this subject on this page, section "I am leaving UNIL".
If your campus card has been lost or stolen, we recommend that you block it immediately to prevent any misuse. You can apply for a new campus card at our counters. A fee of CHF 25 will be charged for printing your new card. This fee can only be paid in cash. The cash balance transferred to the new card will correspond to the balance on the old card at the time it was blocked.
Once you have your new card, you must validate it to use its functions.

If there is an error on the upper part of your campus card (e.g., misspelled name) or it needs to be changed (e.g., due to marriage or divorce), you must first contact the relevant service to update your personal and administrative data:
Once your data is updated, you can visit our desk to print a new campus card.
If there is an error on the rewritable part of your campus card, please also contact one of the services mentioned above. Once the correction is made, you can update the rewritable zone at a validation terminal.
You can apply to change your campus card after six years at the our counter. Before this date, a fee of Fr. 25 will be charged.
You can change the photograph on your campus card by requesting a replacement of your campus card. If your card is more than six years old, this change is free of charge. Otherwise, a fee of Fr. 25 will be charged.
The procedure for changing your photograph is available in the section "Tips for your photography", higher. Once your application has been processed, you can take your old card with you to our counter for the mission of the new one.
A fee of Fr. 25 per space will be charged at the guichet before a new campus card is printed in the following cases:
A new campus card is free in the following cases:
On occasion, lost campus cards are returned to us. In this case, we contact the person so that they can come and collect it from our guichet. If you have lost your campus card and have not received an e-mail from us in the following days, it is likely that it has not been returned to us.
Warning! In the event that a person wishes to collect a Campus card that is not theirs, one of the following documents is compulsory:
Without this, no Campus card will be sent to you.
Please first try to validate your campus card again.
If the issue persists, it may be administrative:
Once your status is regularized (check on MyUNIL under "Administrative Record"), you can validate your campus card again. The rewritable zone data will be updated.
You can print out your registration certificate (which includes your name, surname, date of birth and student number) from MyUNIL. Click on your profile icon at the top left, then select "My profile". You will find the certificate at the bottom of the left-hand box. Take this document with your identity card.
If you are unable to access your office (multiple beeps and red flashes), please check the following:
Please note that if you have replaced your old campus card with a new one, it may take up to two hours for the access data to sync with your new card. After this period, update the access rights at an access terminal.
If your campus card no longer seems to work (no beep at the access terminal or card not recognized at a validation terminal), contact us.
Note: Depending on the mode your door is configured, it may already be unlocked when you place your campus card on the door’s card reader. In this case, the card reader will show an error even though the door is unlocked. The reason is that you have the right to unlock the door, but not to lock it. For example, if your door is set to remain unlocked during a specific schedule, such as from 8 am to 6 pm, the first person to access the office will unlock the door for that schedule. If the same or another person tries to unlock the door again, the system will instead interpret it as an attempt to lock the door, since it is already unlocked. The system will deny the action, causing an error signal because the person does not have the right to lock it.
Please see our page dedicated to access to buildings and premises. Please note that this possibility is reserved for staff and teachers, apart from access to the Associations Area and the Meditation Area.
We ask you to contact us by e-mail.
Several scenarios may arise:
For more details on the service and installation, visit the PrintUNIL page on the Computer Center website.
No, this is not possible. So-called printing creations have no monetary value once they have been purchased.
An invitation is the administrative procedure for registering a person who is not a member of the UNIL university community.
More information can be found on our page describing the invitation procedure and the criteria for obtaining guest status.
Please contact us and let us know the IBAN of the account from which you made the payment and the date.
In the first instance, please contact the caisse where you made the payment, if possible on the same day in an off-peak period.
You have the option of viewing the latest transactions from your campus card's electronic wallet, but these will only show the debit and credit movements, the time and the cashier of the transaction. If you notice that the movement seems abnormal (e.g. that the sum of the transaction corresponds to the price of several menus), first contact the shop or restaurant.
Finally, you can contact us and tell us where and when you made your payment. We can provide you with a printout of the transaction receipt, which you can then use to submit your claim to the shop or restaurant owner.
Yes, it is possible. Bring your campus card to our desk at Amphimax.
Check that your card is validated. It may also be blocked.
If after checking these two points your campus card continues to refuse to work, please contact us.
If you are a UNIL student or employee and the QR invoice reference number is not displayed on MyUNIL, please contact us.

We ask you to consult our page "Criteria for being invited" for the answer to this question.
To be able to issue invitation requests, you must first obtain guest or delegate status in order to have access to the application on the administrative intranet. If you do not have this status, please refer to point VI.2 of this help page.
a. Authenticate yourself on the administrative intranet to access the ‘Smart Cards II’ application, then click on ‘Guest card II request management’ :
b. Then click on the "Invités" button to access à invitation management :
c. Then click on the "Créer" button for a new invitation:
d. The page that opens is the invitation form. The first step is to fill in the guest's personal details. Click on the "..." button in the "Name/Prénom invité" field:
e. A new window opens with a form. Enter the name and first name of the person invited, then click on 'Chercher':
f. Three cases may arise:
Important: please carry out several searches before using the ‘Create a person’ link, to avoid duplicates in the system. Pay particular attention to names with accents whose letters have been substituted (e.g. Müller, Mueller).
g. If you select an existing person in the file, a new window opens with information about the person. Click on "Create" to confirm your choice of person to invite. Then click on the i button.
h. If you need to create a new profile for the person, a form will appear below the search form. Fill in the form with the guest's personal details, then click on the Save button. Note that the e-mail address entered in this form will be the address to which the message will be sent, enabling the person invited to confirm their details:
i. You return to the initial form. The person's name now appears under the "Name/Prénom invité" field. Now select the guest. If you are not sure, please select the guest you are inviting. Then click the "..." button in the "Unité" field.
j. The window that opens allows you to select the unit to which the guest will be attached. You can either perform a search or scroll down the tree to find the appropriate unit. Only units to which you have rights are shown. Click on the coloured unit number to select that unit:
k. You return to the initial form. Choose the Type of card suited to the person invited, then indicate a start date and an end date, i.e. the length of time the person invited will be present at UNIL:
l. The invitation procedure requires the acceptance of three statuses: that of the inviting party, that of the guest and that of the campus card service. Until these three statuses are accepted, the invitation procedure is not complete and no campus card will be issued. When you register the new invitation request, you automatically accept this invitation and the status per invitee will be changed to ‘Accepté’.
The invited person will have to confirm their personal details. They will receive an e-mail with the information needed to validate the request. The e-mail will not be sent instantaneously, but may take up to 24 hours to arrive. You will receive an e-mail notification when she has accepted the invitation.
The ‘Date de validation’ field corresponds to the date on which the invited person will validate their campus card at a validation point.
m. Finally, enter the function of the person you are inviting during their stay, and if necessary, add a note (e.g. contract being drawn up). Click ‘Enregistrer’ to create the invitation.
n. On the next screen, confirm the invitee's business address. Once you have completed this step, you have finished the invitation procedure for the invitee.
If we have not received a photograph from the guest, we cannot put their campus card on. Their photograph can be sent to us at the following e-mail address: campuscard@unil.ch. You can consult the "Tips for your photography" section higher up on this page to find out about the technical requirements and format.
