Gold Open Access Fund UNIL

As part of its strategy to promote Open Access, the Research Dicastery is making an institutional Gold Open Access Fund available to UNIL and CHUV/Unisanté authors from 1 January 2022.

Context and scope

The UNIL Gold Open Access Fund is exhausted until December 31, 2024. The eligibility conditions mentioned below will be valid from January 1, 2025. A new form will be activated on January 6. Until then, please use the old form at the bottom of the page.

This fund is complementary to the Read & Publish agreements we have entered into with numerous publishers. It will enable researchers without external funding to access Gold Open Access publishing (journals and books that are 100% Open Access).

Eligibility requirements and procedure

Eligibility requirements

    • For books and book chapters, partial payment is possible.
    • Additional costs such as color charges or page charges are not covered.
  • Creative Commons Licences:
    • For books and book chapters, the CC-BY license is recommended, but CC-BY-NC-ND licenses, in all their variations, are accepted.
