All modules in Spanish

We offer language courses which can be both in parallel to your study program or integrated into your curriculum. These course are designed to meet the needs of students at university and, later, of professional life and social integration.

Course structure

The transparency and coherence of our modules is ensured by linking them to current European standards.

Learning a language requires a considerable investment in time and effort, both inside and outside the classroom. Before registering for a module, make sure that you have sufficient time to do the work required.

Remember that if you are placed in a group, you are expected to attend the module on a regular basis and to follow it from start to finish.

Modules you need to sign up for

The objectives of the “integrated skills” modules are to enable participants :

  • to begin to learn a new language
  • to develop existing skills and make them more specific

These modules are largely based on communication. They aim to develop skills which will enable learners to use the language for various reasons in a variety of contexts. These modules also aim to develop cultural and intercultural aspects as well as the ability to learn independently.

Teaching methods and activities are varied and interesting. They involve discussions, listening exercises, role-plays, games, watching videos and reflecting on how we learn.

All levels (according to the pre-registrations received)

Modules preparing students for external international exams help students pass exams for academic mobility and future professional objectives. They focus on listening, reading, speaking and writing.

You can prepare for these examinations during the Integrated Skills module at the corresponding level.

Spanish Ministry of Culture and Education Examination of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE)

Intensive courses allow you to improve your general communication skills in a short period of time during intersemesters. A wide range of stimulating activities will help you to improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. These include discussions, listening exercises, role-plays, games, watching videos and reflecting on your learning.

Winter or summer intersemester

Guided independent learning with a tutor allows you to pursue your language learning without joining a class and by studying autonomously. This module allows you to focus on your specific needs. You will be working both in the Multimedia Centre and at home.  A language teacher will give you regular guidance and advice.

The PlurieL platform in the Multimedia Centre offers all the information, learning material and support you need: it will allow you to locate activities and organise your study.

Independent learning in the Multimedia Centre (EMA) – guided autonomy

Modules which require no registration

To allow you to continue to learn a language and communication skills without joining a module, the Language Centre offers free-access periods in the Multimedia Centre (EMA). There are two ways to access the EMA:

  1. Remote access: use our PlurieL learning platform to connect online at any time
  2. On campus : go to the EMA room (Anthropole, room 1060) during the semester, so long as it is a "free-access" period (see times on our homepage). There is no need to register beforehand. Someone will be on hand to show you how the EMA works. You will have access to learning activities which are not available online

The EMA contains resources that have been specially designed for autonomous language learning. It is organised in such a way as to allow you to locate easily activities corresponding to your level and to your needs. The EMA will provide you with information and tools to help you manage your learning.
