Electronic wallet
Your campus card can be used as an electronic wallet to pay without change on the UNIL campus. The list of restaurants and shops that accept the campus card is available further down this page.
The electronic purse can only be used if the card has been validated and has not reached its expiry date.
Your electronic purse can hold a maximum of CHF 300. You are responsible for your campus card in the event of loss or theft. If a third party misuses the credit available on your campus card, you will not be reimbursed. You can block your campus card at any time, which will prevent any payments being made with it. The monetary balance is retained during the blocking period and will be restored when your campus card is unblocked.
How to use your campus card to pay
Every restaurant and associated business has a campus card card reader located near each checkout. Simply place your campus card on it and the shopkeeper or restaurant owner can debit the amount from your electronic wallet.

Check balance
You can check the current balance and latest transactions of your campus card on MyUNIL at any time. To do this, once you have logged on to MyUNIL, click on your profile icon in the top left-hand corner, then select ‘My campus card’. You will find the balance of your campus card in the box on the left and the latest transactions in the central section.
You can also check your current balance and recent transactions on the Unil Campus mobile application, available for iPhone and Android.

At UNIL and EPFL
Since the beginning of September 2022, you can use your campus card to make payments à l'EPFL. Withdrawal and repayment of balance
If you wish, you can make a withdrawal or request the balance of your electronic wallet by visiting our desk with your campus card.
If you are leaving UNIL: you have three months to clear the balance of your electronic wallet. To do this, you must go to à our counter with your campus card.
