The University of Lausanne has more than 210 research and teaching units working in fields as diverse as genetics, the aesthetics of cinema, environmental law and forensic science. Within the institutes, laboratories and libraries, some 5,000 researchers work every day on projects of national and/or international scope, thereby furthering the institution’s academic capital. In order to promote the circulation of knowledge, UNIL encourages and promotes a culture of interdisciplinarity.
